Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), electric power company in America has now issued has now issued a request for proposals for the facilities that is going to be generating around 800 megawatts of the wind energy and around 500 megawatts of the solar energy.
The invitation for bids of Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) has been offering the developers of the private sector the opportunity for proposing the best and most effective projects for adding the resources of significant renewable energy to the diverse generation fleet of Indian Michigan Power (I&M).
The I&M have currently been operating the five solar energy farms and has been purchasing the power from four of the Indian wind energy farms, and in the year 2021, over 80 percent of the energy generated by I&M had been free of emission. The resources are also being sought in the request for proposal that is aligned with Powering the Next Tomorrow plan of Indiana Michigan Power (I&M).
The Powering the Next Tomorrow plan had been described in the integrated resource plan of I&M, that had been submitted for stating the utility regulatory commissions in both the states of Michigan and Indiana previously in 2022. The company has been expecting to some of the new renewable energy resources for being online by the end of the year 2024 and the complete 1,300 megawatt for being online by the end of the year 2025.
