UK Government Orders 35 million More Covid-19 Vaccine Doses of Pfizer

The government of United Kingdom has now ordered additional 35 million doses of the novel corona virus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, and the doses are going to be delivered in the second half of 2022, and the government of United Kingdom said, it had been preparing for a nationwide program of the corona virus vaccine boosters for the purpose of protecting the most vulnerable people in the country.

Sajid Javid, health secretary of United Kingdom said, this move was launched with the intend for future proofing their novel corona virus vaccine program, and now United Kingdom have ordered 540 million corona virus vaccine doses from the different types of corona virus vaccines, and out of the different covid-19 vaccines, four has been approved for use in the United Kingdom.

The deal with the Pfizer means that, the country has now ordered more corona virus vaccine doses than any other country in the world, and the NHS UK had been given the permission for starting the plans for the third booster doses of the vaccine for the people, who are above 50 years of age, and after the interim advice from the JCVI and Sajid Javid has recently said that, the programme is going to start in September 2021.

Sajid Javid also said, the corona virus vaccination program of United Kingdom had been protecting tens of millions of the people from the novel corona virus along with saving the lives of the people.
