Sentara Healthcare and Sensyne Health Partners for New Clinical Algorithms Design and Ethical Data Sharing

The company ‘Sensyne Health’ has announced that, it has signed a Strategic Research Agreement (SRA) along with a collaboration agreement or partnership with Sentara Healthcare, a top healthcare system serving the patients in the northeastern region of North Carolina and Virginia through 12 hospitals and over 300 sites of care.

Sentara is going to join 11 Trusts of UK NHS and the Health Systems of the United States, who are the shareholders and partners in the Sensyne Health, and this new partnership has been the third partnership in the United States of the company ‘Sentara’ since it was launched in the country in December 2020.

This partnership has been responsible in combining both the life sciences and the development of the healthcare algorithm, which is going to be delivering the value back to the Sentara Health and its patients, and the agreement is also going to be responsible in enabling the ethical application of the clinical Artificial intelligence research by the Sensyne Health through the process of analysing the dataset of Sentara’s patients for the purpose of improving the care of its patients along with accelerating medical research.

This addition of 3.6 million patients of Sentara, that has been responsible in bringing the combined total of Sensyne of the non-identified data of the patients for the medical research to around 21.7 million patients.

Tim Skeen, chief information officer of Sentara Healthcare said, one of their top priorities has been the protection of the healthcare information of their patients and with their partnership with the ethically designed artificial intelligence of the Sensyne Health, they are now able to do just that.
