US: Spectrum Health to Make Covid-19 Vaccine Mandatory for its Michigan Employees

The Spectrum Health of United States has now became the fifth health system in the country with the employees in Michigan to announce, the compulsory requirement for all of its health workers for taking the covid-19 vaccine dose, and this strategy is going to be applied to more than 31,000 health staff of Spectrum Health working at the 14 hospitals, along with those workers, who are working for the company’s health plan, and the priority health along with the students, contractors and volunteers.

But the requirement will not be going into effect at the Spectrum Health for around eight weeks after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States is going to give the authority to any of the three covid-19 vaccines, that are currently being used within the United States.

Currently, the covid-19 vaccine, which has been produced by the companies including Johnson & Johnson, Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech, has been given to the adult people of the United States of America and Pfizer and Moderna have applied for getting the approval for purpose of producing more vaccines.

The Spectrum Health said in a statement that, they agree with the science, which has been behind the development of the covid-19 vaccine along with the facts, which are mainly related to the safety of the covid-19 vaccines, and it is also expecting that, the approval from the FDA will be able to give some reassurance for the members of their team for the efficacy, safety and effectiveness of the novel corona virus vaccines.
