In the United States and Canada, automobile manufacturer Volkswagen has recalled nearly 42,000 Beetles. The Takata airbag inflators in these Beetles, according to the manufacturer, could be dangerous.
Beetles from the 2015 and 2016 model years are included in the recall. In documents published on Friday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that the inflators have the potential to burst into shrapnel with excessive force.
To inflate airbags in the event of a crash, Takata used ammonium nitrate to produce a small explosion. However, when the chemical is exposed to high temperatures and high humidity, it can degrade over time.
At least 33 people have died worldwide since 2009 as a result of the exploding airbags, 24 of whom were in the United States. The Beetles’ driver air bag will be replaced by dealers. Beginning on Feb. 17, owners will be notified via letter.
There is a moisture-absorbing chemical in the Beetle air bags that can slow the degradation of ammonium nitrate. However, VW and the United States government agreed to recall them in 2020.

The price of this Volkswagen flagship offering’s exclusive edition is Rs 33.50 lakh. It gets corrective updates to both outside and inside. Only Oryx White and Pure White are available for the vehicle. The company has opened reservations for its Tiguan Exclusive Edition, in particular.
In terms of modifications, the Volkswagen Tiguan Exclusive Edition receives dynamic hubcaps, the most recent 18-inch Sebring silver-finished alloy wheels, load sill protection at the rear, and other cosmetic enhancements.
Additionally, a badge is attached to the B-pillar for this exclusive edition. The layout and all-black color scheme of its cabin remain unchanged, but the Exclusive Edition badges and sportier-looking aluminum pedals clearly distinguish it from the standard model.
