It stated that while coal-fired generation increased by 7.7% in 2022, gas-fired production decreased by 36% as a result of higher imported gas prices. According to the IEA report, they expect the share in the generation mix to fall to 69 percent in 2025, as the share of renewables reaches 25 percent.
