PSG Plans to Sign Newcastle United Defender

Sports

French football club PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) is planning to sign Sven Botman, Newcastle United defender, and Sven Dutchman has been a fan of PSG from a very long time.

PSG sporting director Luis Campos is of the belief that the Dutchman can become one of the best central defenders in Europe, according to a recent report. PSG’s interest in Sven Botman dates back to his time playing for Lille before Newcastle signed him.

Sven Botman has had a tremendously successful first season in the Premier League, making 30 appearances across all competitions, including all but two of the Magpies’ league games.

Even though the Dutchman has only recently arrived on Tyneside, reports claim that PSG are still interested in him because the Parisians know they can guarantee him Champions League football.

However, Sven Botman may be content to remain in England for the long term and fight for European football under Eddie Howe, as the club begins to build towards a new era under their new owners, with Newcastle four points behind fourth-placed Tottenham with two games in hand.
