Report: Qatar’s Investors Set to Bid for Manchester United

Sports

According to the sources, many Qatari investors intend to make a substantial offer to purchase Manchester United, a Premier League club. The investors were described in the report as a group of private, high-wealth individuals from Qatar, the nation that hosted the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

After the Glazer family, the club’s American owners, announced in November that they had begun considering options such as new investment or a potential sale, Jim Ratcliffe’s company INEOS officially entered the bidding process to acquire United last month.

Last month, it was reported that Paris St. Germain’s owner, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), was considering either a complete takeover or a stake in Manchester United or Liverpool, their rivals.

Since the Glazers last won silverware in 2017, when they won the Europa League and League Cup, United fans have been clamoring for a change in ownership, and the team has received a lot of criticism.

Erik ten Hag’s team is third in the league with 42 points after 21 games. Manchester United are three points behind Manchester City but eight points behind league leaders Arsenal, who have played fewer games.
