VinFast intends to become a global brand after making its grand debut at the LA Auto Show in 2021 and delivering the first electric vehicle sold in Vietnam. VinFast held a celebration in November to mark the first shipment of 999 VF 8 models to the United States. The EV manufacturer filed the necessary paperwork shortly thereafter to hold an IPO and go public on US markets.
VinFast is making the move to expand its brand and compete in the rapidly developing electric vehicle market in the United States. However, given that Tesla’s recent price cuts shocked the market, a number of analysts have predicted a price war for EVs as Ford and other automakers cut Mach-E prices to stay competitive.
VinFast stated that it would provide a unique pricing promotion for its initial deliveries of electric vehicles in the United States.
The Eco version of the VF 8 City Edition costs $49,000, while the Plus version starts at $56,000. Additionally, buyers will be eligible for a $3,000 direct discount off the MSRP. Additionally, the Eco trim’s estimated range was increased to 207 miles (333 kilometers) from the previous 179.
Nearly every other automaker, with the possible exception of Toyota, is currently pursuing electric vehicle share because that is where the auto industry is headed, just like VinFast. Having said that, businesses like VinFast are working quickly to adapt to the environment. The company’s first shipment of electric vehicles is likely to be delivered on time and to customers’ satisfaction because of the delay.
