Harry Kane to Play against USA, confirms Gareth Southgate

Harry Kane will play in the next match against the USA, and the striker is all good for the game, says England manager Gareth Southgate. Harry Kane suffered an ankle injury just before halftime during England’s 6-2 win against Iran, and was taken off in the second half of the game. Harry Kane also assisted Raheem Sterling during the match.

Harry Kane underwent several scans and now Gareth Southgate declared the striker is fit for the second game in the FIFA World Cup. Gareth Southgate said that, Harry Kane is good, and he has worked a little bit more individually today, but he will be back in with the team and is all fit for the game.

Gareth Southgate added that they checked him out just to see, and he thinks that when you are treating things, it is important to know exactly what should be there. It is not something with the ankle, and it is more with the foot. It was a very poor challenge, but he think that it is one that they have got away with reasonably light, says England manager.

Harry Kane has scored 51 goals and he needs just two to match Wayne Rooney as all-time top scorer for England. The absence of Harry Kane would have been a big blow to England. England’s manager also admitted that he was a bit worried when he saw the striker going down on the pitch.
