Cristiano Ronaldo will be leaving Manchester United football club by mutual agreement in the aftermath of him making serious allegations in an interview, bring an end to his successful career at the club. Cristiano has left without a payoff, and there are no restrictions on whom Ronaldo can pay next.
Manchester United had appointed lawyers to explore potential action against Cristiano Ronaldo for breach of contract, but the club preferred option was to engineer Ronaldo’s departure which was confirmed on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
According to a statement, Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the club by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. Manchester United thanks Ronaldo for his immense contribution across two spells at the club, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances and wishes Ronaldo and his family well for the future.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s allegations include that he was being forced to leave the club, and the senior executives lacked empathy after his newborn son died in April 2022. The allegations also include that the Glazer family, owners of Manchester United, do not care about the club, and the manager of the club did not respect him.
Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo is with the Portugal National Team playing at the Qatar World Cup, and in his absence, Manchester United banned him from the training ground and explored legal action.
Cristiano Ronaldo said that following talks with Manchester United they have mutually agreed to end their contract early, and his love for the club and fans will never change. However, it still feels like the right time for him to seek a new challenge.
