With the release of Volvo’s fully-electric SUV, Volvo EX90, Zenseact has launched OnePilot, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered software, which offer drivers a new level of safety. OnePilot marks the beginning of Zenseact’s new journey to autonomous driving, with both autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functionalities.
It has been a significant step in the ambition of the company to decrease traffic accidents and create safe roads for everyone. The commitment to automation by Zenseact to gradually turn cars into perfect drivers, which is based on understanding human behaviour.
OnePilot, which is a set of threat assessment, verification practices, and decision-making that enhance traffic safety, and it frames the technology training the software to anticipate, and avoiding complex traffic situations. The data will be stored and form the basis of the machine learning and future updates, and as a result, continuous deployment of improved software would make the Volvo EX90 safer.
The launch of the Volvo EX90 featuring OnePilot is a major step in the automobile safety, and through its continuous data gathering, the Volvo EX90 will provide them with data from real-world in combination with the simulated scenarios, says Odgard Andersson, chief executive officer at Zenseact.
