Puratos UK has acquired Fourayes, the number one fruit grower in the United Kingdom. This acquisition underlines the commitment of Puratos UK to a more sustainable food industry through responsible, local, and transparent sourcing. Fourayes’s different range of fruit fillings, mincemeat, and industrial jams bolsters the portfolio of Puratos’s of locally-produced fillings.
According to research from Puratos, over a third of the United Kingdom’s customers now look for the inclusion of power ingredients like fruits. The research also showed that 44 percent of customers express their desire for products that contain ingredients sourced locally. The research also found that 66 percent of customers believe food made using local ingredients is better for the environment.
