TikTok to Launch Live Shopping in the United States

TikTok is planning to launch a new feature on the platform, for the US market, where users can get a live shopping feature in the market. According to a report, TikTok has been looking to join TalkShopLive to launch the live shopping feature in the US market.

TalkShopLive, a live shopping platform based in Los Angeles, and it is still being used by MSN, Microsoft and Walmart for shopping livestreams. According to the report, TikTok can leverage the technology of TalkShopLive, enabling the creators to host live shopping sessions on the platform.

TikTok might also launch live shopping feature during the upcoming festive season. In a statement, TikTok said that it is constantly exploring different and new options for how they can best serve their community, with merchants and creators in the markets around the world.

TikTok has continued its reign as the top-grossing non-gaming mobile app worldwide across the Google Play and App Store combined in the third quarter of 2022. TikTok saw around 914.4 million dollars in consumer spending this quarter, which brought its lifetime total to around 6.3 billion dollars.

The app was the number one revenue-generating non-game application on the app stores, which maintained its spot with a little over 330 million dollars.
