Business

Uber will now offer car rental in the United Kingdom through its smartphone app, and with this move the company is entering into the car rentals market of UK. Uber Rent is currently operated in conjunction with CarTrawler and has enabled its users to book and hire a car from the sites across the United Kingdom.

The Uber Rent option is now available in the Uber app, and the users need to do is enter the rental parameters, and then can browse the marketplace of care available for the chosen location and date. The users can choose the car and head out to pick it up, and the bookings can also be made up to the time of the pick-up.

The cancellations are free to around 48 years before collecting a car. Andrew Brem, general manager at Uber, said that the United Kingdom boasts one of the biggest largest rental markets across the globe, and at Uber they are growing their business to become the ultimate travel app, and in the United Kingdom that means providing a best-in-class rental experience for the Uber users.
