India’s Mahindra & Mahindra has inaugurated its new design center known as Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (M.A.D.E), in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. M.A.D.E. will serve as the conceptual hotbed for electric vehicles for the company.
According to a statement from Mahindra, the primary objective of the new design centre, which forms part of the Mahindra Global Design Network, which includes the Mahindra India Design Studio in Mumbai, is to create all future electric vehicles and advanced vehicle design concepts for Mahindra.
This new centre is equipped with many design tools to handle the end-to-end design activities, including conceptualisation, with 3D digital and physical modelling, digital visualisation, Class-A surfacing, and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design.
The centre also incorporates a complete digital visualisation suite, with VR digital modelling, clay modelling, and physical presentation areas. Anand Mahindra, chairman of Mahindra Group, said Mahindra Advanced Design Europe is another vital node in their neural network of innovation. In just 15 months, their work has already laid blueprint for an electrifying future, and how they play their cards will determine the way the world is shaped in the future.
UK’s International Trade Minister, said securing investment in Britain will creates jobs, boost wages, and grow their economy. The minister also said they are seeking to double Anglo-Indian trade over the upcoming decade, and a free trade deal would be a significant step towards achieving their target of tackling trade barriers and helping businesses.
