As Tesla is working hard ramping the production capabilities of the Gigafactory in Texas and according to the reports, Tesla is also considering some locations around the region of North America for the company’s next plant.
During the meeting, Elon Musk had been asked about the plans of Tesla regarding the location of the new plant of the company across North America and in response, Elon Musk also said, Tesla has not decided on a location yet and Elon Musk stated that, the company is currently looking at the sites around the region of North America so the areas such as Mexico and Canada and are not out of the question.
According to a report, Elon Musk said, they are now looking at the sites but they are now considering some site options more broadly in the region of North America and hence including Canada and Mexico and the United States as well.
In spite of this, Elon Musk has also clarified that, the priority of Tesla has been to ramp the Gigafactory in the region of Texas and the Texas factory is still very much a work in the progress and it should also be noted that, the land acquired by Tesla for the company’s site in Texas spanning 2,100 acres hence there is still a ton of space that is left in the complex that, the company can possibly use for the expansion of the company.
