US Government Launched Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Initiative

To government of the United States through the US Department of Energy (DOE) has launched the Interconnection Innovation e-Xchange (i2X), which is a new partnership funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of the Joe Biden, president of the United States that is bringing together the grid operators, along with state, utilities and tribal governments, energy justice organizations, clean energy developers and other stakeholders for connecting more clean energy to the power grid of the United States.

This partnerships is going to provide help in decreasing the waiting times for the clean energy sources in the interconnection queues and lowering costs for connecting to the grid. As the government of the United States has been ramping up the expansion of the new renewable energy for reaching the goal of 100 percent clean electricity by 2035 of Joe Biden.

The i2X partners is also going to be developing the solutions for simpler, faster and more fair interconnection of the clean energy resources through better data along with the development of the roadmaps and technical assistance.

Jennifer M. Granholm, secretary of energy of the United States said, by eliminating the gridlock that is decreasing down the clean energy deployment has been critical to the increasing access for cheaper electricity for the families and businesses in the United States.

She also said that, funding in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law of the US president is going to provide help to DOE and their National Labs building the partnership of the problem solvers for tackling the issues of interconnection and also ensuring the grid reliability and developing the equitable solutions for all the communities.
