Report: Registrations For Electric Vehicles Increased In US


According to the reports, registration for the new electric vehicles has been increased by 60 percent in the first three months of the year 2022 even though the new car registrations had actually been down by 18 percent on the whole, and the electric vehicles are now accounting for all of the passenger vehicles being sold in the United States.

Tesla vehicles also had the most new registrations of the Electric Vehicles along with 113,882, that is representing 59 percent of the electric cars has now registered during that period. The automobile company ‘Kia’ has come in second position after Tesla with 8,450 electric vehicles based on the strong sales of the company’s Nitro subcompact and Ford was in third position with 7,407 registration for the company’s Mustang Mach-E, which is the electric version of the company’s commercial Transit van and also the newly released F150 Lightning pickup.

As Tesla remains upmarket with the starting prices of more than 40,000 dollars, the two Korean automobile companies have been quickly laying the claim to the budget market of the electric vehicles and Niro of Kia sells for half than that and the Kona Electric starts at 34,000 dollars.

With sales of the electric vehicles in the United States are expected to double in every couple of years, 40 million electric vehicles could possibly be on the road by the year 2030.
