The automobile company ‘BMW Group’ has revealed that, the upcoming BMW 3-Series sized electric car is going to be the first model for being underpinned by the Neue Klasse Electric Vehicle only architecture. The luxury car brand of Germany has also revealed that, the model is based on the Neue Klasse and will be debuting in the year 2025.
The Neue Klasse is going to be gradually expanded for the fully-electric cars in the other segments beyond the midsize cars at the later phase. Oliver Zipse, chief executive officer of BMW said, in earlier May 2022, the upcoming Neue Klasse platform is going to be playing an very important part in the ramp-up of the electric vehicles sales for the automobile company and he also said that, this architecture has been representing a quantum leap in the technology.
BMW Group is also further claiming that, the Neue Klasse is going to be featuring the next-generation electric drivetrain of the automobile company, which is going to be promising more power along with the new cell chemistry and new cell formats also. Initially, the company is also going to be focusing its Neue Klasse architecture on the medium sized premium electric cars.
The CEO of BMW is also going to reveal that, the Neue Klasse platform is going to be entering the production in the year 2025 at the new factory of the company in the region of Debrecen, Hungary and is also going to be offering a battery electric drivetrain.
