Airbnb Inc., has given a forecast for the revenue in the current quarter that is easily surpassed the estimates of the Wall Street as the company has been seeing a substantial demand for the travel heading into the busy summer season of 2022 after over two years of the novel corona virus restrictions.
The second-quarter revenue is going to be 2.03 billion dollars to 2.13 billion dollars, which has topped the average estimate of 1.97 billion dollars of the analyst. The revenue in the first three months of the year had also been better than expected along with helping for significantly narrowing the net loss at the vacation home rental platform and the shares has also increased in the extended trading.
Brian Chesky, chief executive officer of Airbnb Inc., said that, as they are lapping in the beginning of the travel rebound that has started in 2021 and in particular, they are encouraged by the compounding growth they are seeing in the region of North America.
He also said that, the domestic demand United States in 2022 has so far outpaced their internal expectations and they are also encouraged by the international bookings of the United States exceeding the levels of 2019. He also said that, the company is also seeing higher than historical demand for the fourth quarter of the year, which is indicating that, the consumer confidence for traveling remains strong throughout the season.
