The premier Foods brand known as Mr Kipling has now launched a strong strange of the bite-sized sweet treats that is going to be complying with the high in fat, sugar and salt (HFSS) regulations of the United Kingdom when they will come into force in the month of October 2022.
According to the company, the cakes are containing 30 percent less sugar and around 10 times the amount of the fibre than the standard ranges of the products of the company and they are also containing the real fruit and is also providing as little as just 99 calories per portion.
Although, the decrease in the sugar level has not been diminishing their appeal and they have also scored the incredibly well in the consumer testing in the appearance, flavour, texture, aroma and colour.
The Mr Kipling Deliciously Good range of the cakes in including Angel Slices, Bakewell Slices, Chocolate Caramel Slices, Lemon Slices, Chocolate Slices, Bramley Apple and Blackcurrent Pie and Bramley Apple Pie.
It has also been the result of the development of three years has been the first full range of Premier Foods’ of the non-HFSS branded cakes and it has also been marking a UK first for the category of cakes.
Alex Whitehouse, chief executive officer of Premier Foods said, those who are baking the cakes themselves is going to understand that, creating a cake with the significantly less sugar has been healthier and it still tastes indulgent, which is not an easy task, but by using the expertise that has been brought from producing such an iconic brand for the past 50 years, the talented teams of the company have made it possible.
