Honda to Develop Three New EV Platforms by 2030 in North America

The automobile company ‘Honda Motor Co’ is planning for building the three new dedicated platforms for the electric vehicles in the partnership with General Motors, and according to the report, Honda is aiming to build millions of the electric vehicles by the end of 2030.

Shinji Aoyama, global head of electrification of Honda said, the company is having plans for the purpose of brining in an electric mini commercial vehicles in country of Japan in 2024 that is going to be based on a new small electric vehicle platform.

This is going to be followed by a full-size electric model in the region of North America in the year 2026 that is built on a new large platform, and bot the platforms are going to be used for the other models. The global head of the company has described a third electric vehicle platform that is going to be of a medium size and it is also going to be shared with the General Motors, which will be begin in 2027.

Both General Motors and Honda said that, they are jointly going to be developing the affordable electric vehicles the automobile markets across the globe even though they not revealed all the details. Shinji Aoyama also said, they have not decided that whether the three electric car platforms are going to be based on the architecture of Honda or the platform of General Motors.
