Because of the fire and burning incidents recorded, Best Buy has recalled around 772,000 Insignia Air Fryers and Air Fryer Ovens in the countries including Canada and the United States. The same problem has been in the recall alert of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, which states that, the air fryers and air fryer overs can possibly overheat leading to the fire and burning hazards.
The alert also says that, the appliance and electronics has heard from the 68 consumers from the United States and 36 consumers of Canada about the air fryers and air fryer and ovens for catching fire, melting and burning.
According to the alert, among all the 104 incidences, there are seven instances of the minor property damage along with two reports of the injuries, which is also including an injury to the leg of a child.
This alert is covering the model Nos. NS-AF32DBK9, NA-AF50MBK9, NS-AF32MBK9, NS-AFO6DBK1, NS-AF53MSS0, NS-AF53DSS0, NS-AF55DBK9 and NS-AFO6DSS1 of the Insignia Digital Air Fryers, along with the Insignia Digital Air Fryer Ovens and Analog Air Fryers.
They had been sold by Best Buy online and the stores and also on the eBay from the month of November 2018 through the month of February starting from 30 dollars to 150 dollars depending on the model. Best Buy has also advised if you have one of the air fryers or air fryer oven for stop using them and return to the stores.
