Korika, renewable energy investment company of Finland and Climate ER, renewable energy company based in the United Kingdom have partnered into a partnership for developing the solar energy across Europe. This joint venture has been targeting to develop around 500 megawatts of the RTB solar assets over the upcoming three years.
This project of the joint venture known as Mere Flats Solar Farm in the United Kingdom is going to generate 45 megawatts of solar energy, which is having enough electricity for powering the around 13,000 homes in the United Kingdom.
The United Kingdom has an established the solar energy market with a large appetite for the RTB solar energy projects as the country is now accelerating its path for reaching the net zero greenhouse gases emissions by 2050. As an experienced developer of renewable energy in the United Kingdom, the Climate ER is wanting to fasten the end of the fossil fuels in the energy mix of the United Kingdom.
Owen Saward, managing director of Climate ER said, their petrol prices have been at high record highs and their electricity bills have been increased at an unstable geo-political world and also a fragile global economy. He also said that, everyone knows that, they cannot continue for relying on the imported energy and the fossil fuels that are now causing the climate change.
Turkka Oksanen, executive vice president at Korkia said, they are very excited for partnering with Climate ER, they are convinced that, the solar energy has been the way to the go given in the northern latitudes of Europe.
