Honda and General Motors Deepen Electric Vehicle Partnership to Cut Costs

Two of the biggest automobile companies in the World including General Motors and Honda Motor has teamed up for gaining even more scale for the purpose of helping them in conquering the electric vehicle market. Over the previous decade, Honda Motor and General Motors have found the number of opportunities for the purpose of working together for developing the new technologies and also decreasing their costs.

The two automobile company have been focusing much of their partnership on the energy vehicles and the self-driving technology. Last week, Honda Motor and General Motors has expanded their relationships along with the goal of producing the electric vehicles (EVs) more affordable than ever. This partnership can potentially be positioning Honda and General Motors as the highest volume of the electric vehicle producers in the world within a decade.

The initial stages of cooperation between Honda Motor and General Motors is mainly centered on the development of the new technologies such as the autonomous vehicles and fuel cells. Recently, even though, the automobile companies have primarily been focusing on leveraging the benefits of the combined scale of both the companies for decreasing the costs.

The companies are going to be developing a series of the vehicles by using a new global architecture, which is incorporating the next generation of the Ultium battery technology of General Motors, and both the companies are also going to partnering on the production strategies.
