Ferrero Recalls Kinder Chocolate Products in US After Salmonella Cases in Europe

The company ‘Ferrero’ has voluntarily recalled some of the company’s Kinder chocolate products in the parts of the United States after over 100 new cases of the salmonella disease, which is mainly affecting the children had been reported across the continent of Europe.

The company ‘Ferrero USA’ has announced that, it had been recalling the company’s Kinder Happy Moments Chocolate Assortment and the Kinder Mix Chocolate Treats basket because of which they had manufactured in a facility in the country of Belgium, where the disease had been detected.

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States, for the assortments of chocolate, this voluntary recall is applied to the wholesale stores and also selecting the Costco locations in the Bay Area and Northern Nevada of California. The recall of the chocolate treats has been applied to the 14 Big Y Supermarket locations in the regions of Massachusetts, where the company said that, the products had been removed from the shelves of the stores in the country.

The company ‘Ferrero’ said that, even though there had been no confirmed cases of the disease in the United States, and it has voluntarily been recalling the products out of caution.

The Kinder products include Kinder Eggs had been recalled in Canada and the United Kingdom for the possible contamination of Salmonella disease. There had been 114 salmonella cases and most of which are involving the children of 10 years old and below.
