The automobile companies including, General Motors and Ford Motor Co. will each pause the production in the upcoming week at the Michigan plant, the United States because of the shortages of the car parts.
The company ‘Ford’ said that, it is going to be suspending the production at the company’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant in the upcoming week, where the company build the Mustang because of the shortage of semiconductors across the globe.
General Motors said that, because of the temporary part shortage, it is going to be cancelling the production at the Lansing Grand River assembly plant, where the company is building the Cadillac CT$, Chevrolet Camaro, and the Cadillac DT5, and the company also said that, the production stoppage had not been related to the chips but has not provided any other specifics.
The automobile industry has been grappling with a global chip shortage that has been triggering by the novel corona virus pandemic, which has been responsible for forcing the companies for cutting the production even though the high prices of the cars have been partially offsetting the financial impact.
Last month, Ford has warned that, the chip shortage is going to be leading to a decrease in the volumes of the vehicle in the current quarter of 2022, and Ford has stopped the production at the company’s Kansas City assembly plant that is making the F-150 pickup vehicles because of the chip shortage for a week.
