ENGIE North America Completes $800 Million Financing For 665 MW Renewable Energy Projects

ENGIE North America announced that, it has successfully completed the Tax-Equity financing for the company’s Iron Star and Priddy wind energy projects and the Equity financing for the portfolio of these assets along with the Hawtree solar energy project which has recently declared the commercial operations and together the total will be 665 megawatt.

The two wind energy projects has been located in Ford County, Mills County and Kansas, Texas respectively that are now owned by the affiliates of ENGIE, and the Hawtree project has been in the Warren County based in the region of North Carolina.

The leading financial institutions have now participated in the financing which has also included the long-standing Tax Equity relationships with the Wells Fargo and Bank of America among others and a new relationship with the company ‘InfraRed Capital partners’, who has provided the equity investments for the projects.

A completely owned ENGIE affiliate has been operating the Iron Star, along with Priddy and Hawtree projects pursuing to the long term balance of the plant operation and the agreements of maintenance with the project companies, and the projects have now been a part of over 4 gigawatts portfolio of the renewable energy assets that are currently managed by the company across the region of North America.
