The United States has agreed for lifting the tariffs or taxes on the British steel and aliminum. In a meeting, both the United States and the United Kingdom has now announced a deal that is going to remove the taxes on the British steel and aluminium that is coming below the new quotas on the imports, and the United Kingdom has also agreed for lifting the tariffs on the exports from the United States including Whiskey.
Ryan Quarles, agriculture commissioner of Kentucky said, the 25 percent tariffs on the whiskey and bourbon of Kentucky are all set to end on 1st June 2022. He said, the end of these tariffs had been an issue, which he has raised during the recent trade commission to the United Kingdom.
Ryan Quarles said, these tariffs had been affecting the bourbon industry of the region and the farming families that provide the necessities for the industry and as the end of all these tariffs has been a very good news, he is going to be encouraging the administration of Joe Biden for moving forward on the free trade agreements that are critical to the agriculture industry of their economy.
In 2022, the administration of Joe Biden has made a deal with the European Union in which he has agreed to end the tariffs in the metals from the European union that are coming in the new import quotas and will also continue to tax the imports that are exceeding the new quotas.
