Ford To Launch Seven New EVs In Europe By 2024

The company ‘Ford’ is going to be launching seven new electric vehicles in the continent of Europe by 2024 along with three of the strong range of the new cars by a new crossover that has been utilizing the MEB platform technology of Volkswagen.

Stuart Rowley, head of Ford for Europe has described the announcement that is including a net-zero target by the year 2035 along with a pledge for selling only electric vehicles from that particular date as being pivotal in around 120 year history of the company, and all these new electric vehicle are going to be joining the Ford Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit in the fully electric line up of the company.

All the three new electric vehicles are going to be coming under the new Model E division of Ford that is set up for separating the battery-electric business of the company from the combustion engine vehicles of the company, which is called as Ford Blue as a part of a structural change in this month.

The first car to be launched by Ford has been expected to be based on the Volkswagen ID 4 and has also been sitting below the Mach-E model of Ford Mustang in the line-up of Ford. The car is going to be built at the electric vehicle manufacturing centre of Ford based in Cologne in Germany scheduled to be launched in 2023.

The second electric vehicle of Ford is going to be built at the plant that will be launched in the following year and has been described as a sports crossover.
