Stanley Black & Decker Partner With ENGIE North America To Develop Renewable Energy

Stanley Black and Decker has now signed a VPPA (virtual power purchase agreement) with the ENGIE North America, which is a world leader in the solutions of low carbon energy for the purpose of developing the new wind energy in the region of Texas, the United States.

This has been a major step towards achieving the goal of carbon neutrality across the operation by the year 2030, and among this process they can now look forward for delivering the equivalent of the 54 megawatts of the new wind energy capacity of the renewable electricity on annual basis.

Deb Geyer, corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the Stanley Black & Decker said, by creating a more sustainable world and for achieving the neutrality of the carbon by the year 2030 has been requiring a transition to the renewable energy, and this new project, which will be operations by the end of 2022 is going to be continuing for supporting the strategy of Stanley Black & Decker for sourcing 100 percent of the electricity needs of the countries including Canada and the United States from the renewable power.

The virtual power purchase agreement is going to be bringing the clean renewable energy onto the grid and also making sure that, Stanley Black & Decker has been continues for addressing the company’s North American electricity usage by delivering the equivalent of the 54 megawatts of the new capacity of wind power of per annum.
