Meta to Allow Calls for Violence Against Russian President ‘Vladimir Putin’

Meta, parent company of Instagram and Facebook is going to be allowing the users in several countries for the purpose of calling for violence against Vladimir Putin, president of Russia and soldiers of Russia. Meta also said that, the company temporarily made the allowances for some of the violent speech such as the death to the invaders from Russia that can possibly break the rules of the company.

Although, the company is also saying that, it will not permit for the violence against the civilians of Russia, and this announcement has come after the reports said that, it had now seen the internal emails that has been highlighting the shift of the policy.

A spokesperson of Meta said, in the light of the ongoing invasion of Ukraine, they have now made a temporary exception for the people, who have been affected by the war for the purpose of expressing the violent sentiments towards the invasion of the armed forces in Ukraine.

Under this new policy, the users in the countries including Ukraine, Russia, and Poland are also going to be able to call for the deaths of Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus, and the emails have been reportedly saying that, the calls for the deaths of the leaders are going to be allowed until or unless they have contain the other targets or they are including a location or the methods.
