First Lithium Mines of North America To Be Powered by Renewable Energy

Snow Lake Lithium, a mining company based in Canada that is planning to open the first lithium mine in the region of North America in upcoming future said that, the mining is going to be done by using the renewable energy completely.

According to the company, the resource mining of lithium is going to start in the province of the Manitoba in the country of Canada in the 2024, and the mining business of the company is going to be employing around 98 percent of the company’s power from a hydroelectric sources, and the rest two percent of the energy has remained unknown and the company has not revealed till now.

The government of Manitobe region has also informed that, over 98 percent of the power of the company has been derived from the hydroelectric and the sources of wind energy in the province, and the renewable energy company has also been operating the 16 power stations of hydroelectricity and the company has also been the leading natural gas and electricity utility company in the province of Manitoba.

Lithium has been a scarce resource across the world and recently some of the experts have also opined that, the state of Nevada in the north western region of the United States might have enormous reserves of lithium that can possibly satisfy 25 percent of the demand across the globe.
