Sainsbury’s to Simplify its Instore Bakery Service in UK

Sainsbury’s supermarket giant of the United Kingdom has announced the plans for cutting the 200 cafes, along with ending the hot food range of the company in around 34 stores and also re-evaluating the bakery counter of the company in the 54 stores along with putting over 2000 job at risk.

Sainsbury’s said that, the in-store bakeries is going to change from making the goods or products from the scratch onsite for being the premade somewhere else and shipped in, and this move has also been a part of a wide strategy for the purpose of transforming the dining, along with the home delivery and takeaway platforms across 250 stores over the upcoming three years.

The company said that, it is going to be opening 30 more instore restaurant hubs in the partnership along with BRG (Boparan Restaurant Group), that is running the Caffe Carluccio’s, and several other brands, and this new concept that is named as The Restaurant Hub has already been underway at the Selly Oak of Sainsbury’s store in the region of Birmingham, and the company is also planning to open 30 Starbucks sites across the country.

Simon Roberts, chief executive officer of Sainsbury’s, with the trials with the Starbucks and BRG, and they have now learnt that, they can possibly offer the customers a much better experience of eat and takeaway along with working with the partners. He also said that, they are totally focusing in the improving what they can possibly deliver for the customers and working hard for making their business more simple and easy.
