Because of the Ukraine Crisis, the automobile industry has been affected badly, and the electric vehicle production of the company ‘Volkswagen’ has come to a halt at two plants of the company in Germany, and the invasion of Russia has stopped the deliveries of some of the components of electric vehicles used by Volkswagen.
This issue has been making it impossible for the automobile company to continue the production in these locations. The compact electric vehicles have been sharing the MEB platform for three different automobile companies, and this change has been impacting the vehicles developed by Audi, Volkswagen and Cupra.
According to the reports, the EV production at the Zwickau plant is going to be halted in the coming days. A spokesperson for Volkswagen said, the global supplier network of the company that consists of more than 40,000 suppliers including some of the suppliers in the western region of Ukraine, and because of the current crisis in the region, there might be disruptions in the supply chain of the company.
Some other different components has also failed for reaching the location because of the Ukraine crisis, and the country of Ukraine is responsible for producing the electric cable harness for the electric vehicles of Volkswagen.
The company has stopped the production of the vehicles including ID.3, ID.4, ID.5 and some vehicles of Audi and Cupra.
