Givaudan and Fiberstar, company based in the United States have now partnered for the purpose of commercializing the citrus fiber ingredient of the company ‘Fiberstar’ known as Citri-Fi that can possibly be used for the purpose of replacing a number of the common texturizing ingredients in the applications of the food.
The non-GMO Citri-Fi ingredient of Fiberstar, which has been derived from the insoluble and soluble orange and lemon fibers that are sourced from the byproducts of the juice industry, can possibly be used for the purpose of improving the texture, stability and taste in different products ranging from meat alternatives to baked goods.
According to Fiberstar, the Citri-Fi ingredient can possibly add the mouthfeel and body to the dairy substitutes and dairy along with improving the viscosity and mouthfeel in the sauces and soups along with enhancing the freshness and moisture in the bakery goods and also boosting the texture and juiciness in the meat alternative based on plants.
According to Givaudan, for the purpose of serving the customer base in the United States, this partnership is going to be expanding the access to the Citri-Fi to the new markets along with a primary launch in the region of Latin America and also for selecting the customers in the region of Europe and the Givaudan is also intending to offer the Citri-Fi as being an ingredient to all the markets across the globe.
