Two airlines of the United States that are known for the cheap fares have now announced that, they are planning to merge for the purpose of creating what they are calling the most competitive ultra-low fare airline in the country.
The airline including Spirit Airlines and Frontier Airlines said that, the board of directors of the companies had been unanimously approved the transaction of 6.6 million dollars and they are expecting that, it will be closed in the second of 2022.
The officials of both the airlines said that, by doing the merger, the companies are going to be able for the purpose of offering the travellers even better deals along with more reliable service with around 1,000 daily flights for nearly 150 destinations in the 19 countries, and it is also expected for directly adding 10,000 jobs by the year 2026.
Mac Gardner, chairman of the board of directors of Spirit airlines said, the companies said that, they are a perfect fit, and their businesses has also been sharing some similar values that is also including the longstanding commitment of both the companies to the affordable travel and he also said, at the same time, they are now having a complementary fleets and footprints that is including one of the greenest fleets across the world.
Ted Christie, chief executive officer and president of Spirit said, this transaction has been centered on creation of an aggressive low fare competitor for the purpose of serving their guests even better.
