US: Leeward Renewable Energy and Verizon Signs Four Power Purchase Agreements

Verizon, a telecom company based in the United States has signed four power purchase agreements (PPA) of renewable energy with the Leeward Renewable Energy for a total capacity of 640 megawatts of the clean energy.

Through all those power purchase agreements, the company ‘Verizon’ is going to be purchasing the clean energy that has been generated by the Blackford County Wind, along with White Wing Ranch and Horizon Solar of the Leeward renewable energy as well as an unnamed wind energy project of 80 megawatts.

All these solar energy and wind energy facilities have currently been under the development process and they are expected for being completed by the end of the month of June 2024. Andrew Flanagan, chief development officer at Leeward Renewable Energy said that, they are very excited and happy for expanding the company’s established relationship with the company ‘Verizon’ that has been speaking to the strengths of the company as a partner in the process of helping the leading companies of the country for meeting their goals of sustainability.

Andrew Flanagan also said that, they are very pleased for being recognized as a company, which successfully and safely delivering the reliable solar, wind and energy storage solutions for all the innovative companies across the country.

The company has also signed agreements of 15 years with the company ‘Lightsource bp’ for the purchase of the capacity of clean energy of around 90 megawatts.
