Amp Energy Closes its Credit Facility of $350-Million to Boost Its Renewable Assets

The company ‘Amp Energy’, who is the owner and developer of renewable energy assets based in Toronto, Canada has now announced the closure of an innovative cross-jurisdictional credit facility worth 350 million dollars along with a consortium of the leading institutional investors.

The consortium had been led by a leading sovereign wealth fund and Brookfield Asset Management, and it has also been backed by the Nomura Securities, and the company has also retained the Nomura Securities International as the lead arranger solely, and the after closing the Energy Capital Partners (ECP) for joining the consortium.

The credit facility of the company can potentially increase to a maximum of 700 million dollars, which the company has been planning to use for the purpose of supporting the construction of the company’s growing renewable energy and battery storage assets across the globe.

This investment is initially going to be focusing on the assets of the construction stage, which the company is owning in the countries including Australia, the United States and Japan, along with an intent for the expansion into the markets of the other investment grade.

Dave Rogers, president, CEO and founder of Amp Energy said that, this landmark financing has been broadening the company’s reach, along with the optimizing their cost of the capital, along with enabling them to accelerate the decarbonization of the flexible power producing infrastructure across the company’s core market.
