The company ‘Great River Energy’ has reached an agreement in the principle with the Apex Clean Energy for the purpose of receiving the renewable energy from a wind energy project of 400 megawatt in then McLean County located in the region of North America.
This partnership has been showing their dedication for being the partners in the clean energy with the Great River energy, and the company has also been delivering on the verbal promises, which they have made when they have first announced their intent for the purpose of purchasing the Coal Creek Station.
The wind energy project known as Discovery Wind project has now expected for reaching the commercial operations in the year 2025, and it is going to be the single biggest wind energy project in the region of North Dakota and the project is also going to be delivering the wine energy in the region, and in the year 2020, the electric cooperative had also announced the plans for the purpose of phasing out the remaining coal in the portfolio of the power supply.
David Saggau, president and chief executive officer of Great River Energy said that, they are now transforming the way they have been producing the electricity and also serving the company’s cooperatives, and the members of the company is going to be enjoying the stable wholesale electric rates as well as providing the reliable and clean energy to the region of Minnesota and several parts of Wisconsin.
