Omnicell, Inc., a leading provider of the medication management solutions and adherence tools for the pharmacies and health systems has now completed the earlier announced acquisition of the company ‘ReCept Holdings, Inc.’
The purchase of the specialty pharmacy management services for the health systems of ReCept, along with the provider groups and also the federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) has been expanding the portfolio of Advanced Services of Omnicell for the purpose of addressing the increasing and complex specialty pharmacy market.
Randall Lipps, president, chairman, and chief executive officer and founder of Omnicell said, the capabilities of the specialty pharmacy management services of ReCept has been naturally complementing the intelligent infrastructure of Omnicell, that has been giving them a more deep expertise for the purpose of addressing the increasing need of the market for the purpose of managing the complex specialty medications as a part of a more comprehensive and broad medication management strategy.
The company ‘ReCept’ has been responsible for providing the managed services along with the implementation from the health systems and several other provider organizations for the purpose of optimizing the company’s specialty pharmacy programs along with the related aspects of the patient care.
This complete solution of the company has been supporting the on-site management along with the licensing, staffing, contracting 340B administration, quality assurance and preferred pricing agreements that have been designed for the improvement of the profitability and margin along with keeping the patients at the center of the care.
