US Government to Expand Solar Power on Public Lands of the Country

The officials of the United States have announced the approval of the two large-scale solar energy projects in the region of California and the government has also been moving to open up the public lands in the several other states in the western region of the country for the development of the potential solar power, as it has been a part of the effort of the government of the United States for tackling the climate change by shifting the use of the fossil fuels.

The Interior Department of the United States has approved the Victory Pass and Arica solar energy projects on the public land located in the Riverside County in the eastern region of Los Angeles. Together, the two solar energy project will be generating around 465 megawatts of the electricity or power around 132,000 homes in the United States, and the approval of a third solar energy farm has been planned for the 500 megawatts in the coming days.

The Interior Department of the United States has also issued a call for the purpose of nominating the land for the development within the zones of solar energy in the regions including New Mexico, Nevada and Colorado that together covers around 140 square miles.

This invitation the energy developers of the country comes as the official under Joe Biden, president of the United States promote the renewable solar and wind energy on the public lands and offshore area of the country for the purpose of decreasing the emissions of the greenhouse gases.
