The company ‘PPG’ has also started the expansion of the production of the automotive OEM clearcoat at the facility of the company based in Erlenbach, Germany. The project, which worth 3-million euros has been nearly doubling the capacity of the site for the premium clearcoats and also using the manufacturing technology for the purpose of improving the operational efficiency, along with the flexibility and sustainability as compared to the conventional processes.
Roald Johannsen, vice president at PPG, automotive OEM coatings, for Middle East, Africa and Europe said, this has been an important investment that is making sure that, they are going to continue to work for reaching the growing demand for their premium clearcoats, that are offering the finish with the superior appearance and the durability, which is demanded by their customers.
He said, by using the production or manufacturing technology has been giving them better flexibility for producing the different products in the multiple batch sizes in one of the most sustainable way. Roald Johannsen also said, this investment is going to be making their facility based on Erlenbach a centre for the clearcoats, which will be using the technologies for delivering the chemical resistant and scratch resistant coatings that have been highly durable.
Roald Johannsen also added that, this investment is going to be strengthening the position of the company as a producer of clearcoats, which is capable of meeting the most demanding quality and performance specifications of the OEM.
