The National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the United States said, the electric vehicle manufacturing company of the United States ‘Tesla’ has recently recalled 7,600 cars in the country for a potential air bag problem, and all the affected Tesla electric cars come equipped with the faulty driver air bag cushions, which might tear during the process of deployment.
This recall of the cars has been covering the selected number of the 2021 Tesla Model X and the Tesla Model S vehicles, and the according to the reports, the owners of the all the affected electric cars of Tesla are going to be receiving the notification letters through mail by 7th January 2022.
This has not been the first time, when Tesla has recalled the company’s electric cars, and earlier November, the company has also issued a voluntary recall of around 11,700 electric vehicles after the process of identifying a software glitch in the FSD update of the company. These glitches in the software is also including the error that can possibly cause a false forward collision, and also some type of unexpected activation of the vehicle’s automatic emergency braking system.
This recall of the electric vehicles has also been affecting several Tesla Model Y cars that had been manufactured between the year 2020 and 2021 and Tesla has also released a separate update of the OTA software for the purpose of addressing the issue of the air bags in the cars.
