According to the researchers, the early results in a new treatment for one of the most common forms dementia that have been absolutely great, and as the Alzheimer’s disease might also be caused when a type of the protein mainly sticking to the brain cells, which has been eventually killing them.
A team, which has been including the scientists of the University of Leicester, which has been tackling with the protein before it had been deposited, and Professor Mark Carr said, the early tests had been completely stopped the progression of the disease while testing in the mice.
He also said that, as the main or exact cause of the Alzheimer’s disease is unknown, there has been a string candidate known as amyloid beta protein that is responsible for forming the plaques that can possibly damage the brain, but the team, which is also including the University Medical Center Gottingen based in Germany along with LifeArc, a medical research charity, which has been targeted as a form of the protein before it will be becoming attached.
Professor Mark Carr also said, by using an antibody or vaccine for the purpose of blocking the protein has been working very well, and he also said, it had been absolutely spectacular, and till now it has not been seen with any of the other therapeutic approach, which has been tried with the Alzheimer’s disease.
He added that, as the science has currently been at a very early stage, and if these results and data would have to be replicated in the clinical trials of Human beings, then it can possibly be transformative.
