ClearTrace, an energy-tracking and carbon accounting Software Company has partnered with EDF Renewables and JPMorgan Chase for the purpose of ensuring that, 100 percent of the electricity, which is consumed by the offices of JPMorgan Chase based in the United Kingdom are matched in the real-time with the renewable energy.
As a part of the partnership, EDF Renewables is going to be matching the electricity consumption of JPMorgan Chase with the renewable generation on a 24/7 basis, via the source-specific access to the 8TWh of the portfolio of power purchase agreement of EDF Renewables.
The production and consumption of the energy is going to be monitored by using the energy-tracking technology based on the blockchain from the ClearTrace for the purpose of ensuring that, the consumed electricity has been matched digitally, on the basis of hours to the renewable generation. This platform of the company is also going to provide a real-time and accurate view into the carbon footprint of JPMorgan Chase that has been enabling the auditable and around the clock monitoring of the consumption and generation of the energy.
Lincoln Payton, chief executive officer of ClearTrace said, they are very much delighted for partnering with the EDF renewables and JPMorgan for the purpose of delivering the half hour and load matching of the generation and consumption data of the energy.
