McDonald’s USA has now committed five million dollars and it is also going t partner with AgMission, which is a worldwide collaboration made for the purpose of decreasing the greenhouse gas emissions in the agriculture and also for implementing and developing the solutions of the climate-smart farming during the upcoming five years.
The World Farmers’ Organization (WFO), along with the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR), and the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) has together established the AgMission for the purpose of unlocking the potential of agriculture for the purpose of decreasing the emissions of greenhouse gases.
The main aim of the AgMission is to make the agriculture industry net-negative for the greenhouse gas emission by bringing the ranchers, farmers and the scientists together for creating solution based on science which can be deployed rapidly.
Sally Rockey, executive director of FFAR said, the climate change has been threatening their environment, along with the food security and the livelihoods of the ranchers and farmers, and they are very happy that, McDonald’s has been seeing the value of the approach of AgMission and is partnering with them on this initiative.
Sally Rockey Said, the data and research has been very fundamental for the purpose of reaching this goal, and the interoperable and integrated data has been critical for coordinating the research along with acceleration of the adaption and adoption of the climate-smart solutions, which can be helpful in decreasing the emissions of the greenhouse gases in the world.
