US EPA Launches Strategy to Regulate Toxic Forever Chemicals

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the plans for the purpose of regulating the toxic forever chemicals that were posing major health risks to the people of the United States, but they are still commonly used in the products like food packaging, dental floss, oil, paints, clothing, cleaning supplies and also the non-stick cookware.

Michael S. Regan, administer of EPA has announced the planned comprehensive Strategic Roadmap for the purpose of combating the perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) contamination across the United States.

This initiative of the US EPA has been including a timeline for the purpose of enforcing the aggressive limits of the drinking water for the PFAS, and it is also going to be incorporating a new national testing strategy that has been requiring the PFAS manufacturers for the purpose of providing the toxicity data along with the formation of the categories of the PFAS chemicals to the US EPA.

The US EPA is also going to examine the actions of the past government that has been deemed insufficiently protective against the forever chemicals, and the urgency for the action has been grown as more research that has been showing the extensive reach of the forever chemicals, which has been a class of more than 4,000 chemicals made by man that does not break in the environment, that have been earning the chemicals the nickname of the forever chemicals.
