Elix, latest invention of the company Barry Callebaut, which is made from 100 percent pure cacao fruit and the company has been describing the fruit as the first nutraceutical fruit drink along with many proven health benefits.
The cacao juice has been launched at Amsterdam where the company has claimed the health benefits that has been related to the flavanols of the cacao fruit present in the Elix juice have been approved under the European Food and Safety Authority (EFSA), and the approval from the US FDA is pending.
Barry Callebaut said, it is going to utilize company’s strong scientific knowledge of the cacao fruit and it has also been a supportive health effect by introducing a nutraceutical elixir that has been uniquely crafted for preserving all the essential nutrients of the cacao fruit.
Pablo Perversi, chief innovation, sustainability and quality officer at Barry Callebaut said, he does believe that, the world has been actually changed a lot because of the novel corona virus pandemic, and not only the customers, but very young customers have been much more conscious of the wellness and health along with the well being and what the people are eating.
Pablo Perversi said, as a B2B company, Barry Callebaut has been providing the customers with a composite juice, which has been a cacao fruit juice, which is having a zesty fruity taste and it naturally contains the required amount of the flavanols for the purpose of optimising the blood flow across the body, and the fruit is also a good source of the potassium, magnesium and iron.
